Terms of Use
These terms cover the DashPoint point-of-sale software and the DashPoint API. By taking a payment with DashPoint, or by paying through a terminal that runs it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.
1. What DashPoint is
DashPoint is open-source software that a merchant runs to accept cryptocurrency payments and receive DASH. It is not a bank, a money transmitter, an exchange, a broker, or a custodian. It does not hold your funds at any point, and it cannot reverse, freeze, or recover a payment once it has settled.
2. The merchant is the seller
The sale is between you and the merchant operating the terminal. The merchant sets the prices, the DASH payout address that receives the funds, and any refund policy. The DashPoint project is not a party to the sale and is not responsible for the goods, services, or conduct of any merchant.
3. Conversion is performed by 1Click
When you pay in a cryptocurrency other than DASH, the conversion into DASH is carried
out by 1Click, a third-party swap service operated at
1click.chaindefuser.com. DashPoint submits the
request to it but does not operate it and does not control it. Rates, availability, and
the minimum amount accepted are set by that service, and its own terms apply to the
swap itself.
4. Amounts, rates, and minimums
The DASH amount you must send is calculated from a rate at the moment it is quoted. A rate is not a promise: cryptocurrency prices move, and a quote is valid only for the short period stated with it. A sale below the minimum accepted by the swap service cannot proceed; the minimum is shown before you pay. If you send less than the stated amount, the payment may fail, be delayed, or be refunded rather than completed, and network fees may be deducted from any refund.
5. Refunds
A swap that cannot be completed is refunded by the swap service to the refund target recorded with the request. Unless you supply an address on your own chain, the refund is issued to a NEAR Intents account held by the operator, from which it must be withdrawn. Refunds are not instant and are not guaranteed against a loss in value between payment and refund.
6. Your responsibilities
- Send only the asset shown, using the deposit address and amount shown for that payment.
- Verify the destination address shown matches what you intend before sending.
- Do not use the software where doing so would break the law that applies to you.
- Keep your own wallet credentials safe. DashPoint never has access to them.
7. No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It depends on third-party networks and services that may be slow, unavailable, or faulty. You use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors of DashPoint are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of funds, loss of profit, or loss of data, arising from the use of or inability to use the software, or from any transaction made through it.
9. Changes
These terms may change as the software changes. The version in effect is the one published on this page at the time you use the software.
